School Tours

Annually the DSO tours a group of musicians to primary and intermediate schools around Otago.

The 2025 tour comprised two legs, one leg to Dunedin/Oamaru schools in the week of the 3rd November, and one leg to the Queenstown/Central Lakes in the week of the 17th November. We have visited fourteen Dunedin schools and thirteen Central Otago schools.

Young audiences of up to 6,700 schoolchildren enjoy introductions to the orchestra's instruments and to DSO players.
