Foundation for the DSO

Music is inspiring and uniting – it adds vibrancy and energy to our community.

The Dunedin Symphony Orchestra (DSO) has been performing live music, enriching people’s lives and delivering education programmes, for over 60 years! An acclaimed regional treasure, the orchestra consistently achieves far beyond what might be expected in a city of this size.

Our success comes down to a wonderfully talented and committed music community, and also the support of our audiences who fill our concert halls, make donations and sponsor events.

As part of our plan to future-proof the DSO, we have established a separate Foundation with the mission of building a nest-egg to safeguard the orchestra for future musicians and music-lovers.

You can play a part in this mission by leaving a bequest to the Foundation in your will, or making a donation to the Foundation, becoming a DSO Foundation Guardian, ensuring our local orchestra flourishes for years to come.

The Foundation welcomes bequests and donations of any size.
