Connecting Through Music in 2025

This year has been one of bold creativity and collaboration for the DSO. From two world premières to partnerships that brought composers, conductors, soloists and our orchestra together, 2025 has celebrated the power of music to connect.

Our community initiatives continue to thrive — from the four-concert DSO@Six series in the Dunedin Arts Festival, to workshops, the DSO Academy, and our upcoming Schools Tour reaching students across Otago.

Did you know that a third of Dunedin’s music teachers perform with the DSO? It’s one of the many ways our orchestra helps nurture the next generation of musicians.
